WOW guys! How unbelievably amazing was this episode?? I can't believe it! I hope you all enjoyed it - though I'm sure you did! I don't even know how to express how amazing it is... hopefully the podcast will show our excitement, which should be out shortly!

Hey everyone! So who's actually checking the blog like we told you to do?

So today is Thursday, only just (it's 11:36pm) but tomorrows the day - Lockdown 2008! For those of you living with your head in the ground for the last few podcasts, this is a fan convetion in Northampton (England :P) for all Lost Fans, and myself, Selina, Izzy, Kate and Bec from the forums are all going! The cast members at the convention are going to be Andrew Divoff (Mikhail), Fredric Lane (The Marshall), Francois Chau (Dr. Marvin Candle) and Adetokumboh M'Cormack (Yemi). So that's exciting!

So right now I am packing to go - my flight is at 3pm tomorrow. I'm also panicking about a performance I have to do at college in the morning - because seriously, who would want to run around with a puppet in front of people who don't really like you? :D But oh well. So yeah, that's our first update of this weekend, expect a lot more! We're going to try and send in some pictures, some podcasts and maybe even some videos! It oughta be good! Stay tuned!

#21: Two Girls, 2am and Half a Brain

- As the title says, this was me and Aly (being the Jack, which she did very well!) in the middle of the night, foolishly being left alone to do a podcast. We need the other girls to keep us in line! Randomness ensued, but hopefully also some good discussion of the first half of the mobisodes, and the spoiler section is not actually spoilery - basically we have no idea what's going on and we don't want to know, so we end up ranting about our annoyance at the way shippers and non-shippers treat each other. Because it's annoying :P

Note: We are premiering the warning-WAAAAAAAAAAALT, which symbolises The Point of No Return. The spoilers are now after the outro segment, and when you hear "Warning Warning Warning WAAAALT", it is your last chance to turn off if you don't want to be spoiled... We're Back (in black!)

Hey!!! I wonder if anyone ever checks this? Well if you do, Kudos to you! So you get the early heads up that the Fatecast is back for 200J8 (thank you, Lost Forum) and we're back in style!

So we just recorded our first new podcast in around 5 months, the big episode 20, and our 1st year anniversary. This ep we discuss some new spoilers, the promo, the BIG Kate pregnancy issue and we look back on 2007 and forward to 200J8. This is the last episode with Selina being what we like to refer to as "The Jack" - leading us, and planning the podcast, as she passes the Jack!Hat to me for 200J8. I hope not to disappoint.

Okies so it's 9:08am and I've been awake for an hour even after a mega-writing session at 2:30am with Selina. Yes, that's right, a new song. Am I gonna tell you what it is? NO WAY!!! This one's really good. I love it. Selina loves it. My sister loves it! So I'm up really early because I'm rearing to record it :D Ahh *excited* maybe we should have a separate HAMB blog... oh well more to update then :S

Anyways, currently editing 'Greatest Hits' - Status: 50% done. It's taken a lot of effort because last week I was throwing myself around at Summer School so I couldn't do anything, and because I ripped half of the podcast out for 'Jatest Hits' it's all really bitty, so yeah, lots of editing. Fun fun fun.

So yeah, the Harry Potter podcast is now out as is the new commentary. A little background information on the HP Cast: we actually recorded it 3 times, but the files got messed up, so if it sounds a little rehearsed, that' s why. Also, we wanted to try and get it out before the 7th book... and we *cough* almost made it, so it was recorded at 9:30am my time, and I was like, falling asleep. Not that Selina was boring! Just because I only got up at 9:05am ;) As for the audio commentary, we recorded that agessss ago! I can't even remember what I said except that I hadn't seen the episode for ages so I was like hyperventilating at the sling scene :D

Well that's an update on life. Look I updated the blog!!!

HARRY POTTER HARRY POTTER HARRY POTTER HARRY... oops, this is a Lost podcast, isn't it? Heh. Hi there! If you want to join in our HP discussion, please go to http://www.jackandkate.org/forums/index.php?topic=395.0 where we're all reeling from the last book, but beware of spoilers of course!

As for why we've been so awol, I thought I'd update with a few things. First of all, Elle, Alex and Kristen are... around, not exactly sure where, but so it's just me and Aly these days. This both speeds up and slows down the process of getting shows out, interestingly enough, as of course it is much easier to plan and record shows with only two people, and even easier to edit to some degree, because there are less files to sync. However, since we are only two, the editing work also must be split between us, and as we've both been busy alternatively crying our eyes out, waving our wands around and squeeing excessively - or is that just me?, the shows have sort of been piling up, and it takes quite a big breath attempting to get up to date. I managed to do the bloopercast, hope you all enjoyed that by the way, and now I'm tackling the Harry Potter comparison cast (recorded pre-DH). I'm pretty much done with it really, so it'll be up within the next few days if Nicole is around! Then there's the Greatest Hits which Aly is busy as a beaver working on around the clock of course, heh, then a commentary (won't tell you which episode, you can wait and see ;)) me and Aly recorded AGES ago, and I thought it was finished but... I have no idea where the file is so I have to redo it, but that shouldn't take long, then a NewsCast with um, new-ish news, which I assume I'm doing as well unless Aly finishes the GH episode... and then we can start recording again! That Jacket debate is coming up soon guys, and that should be pretty awesome, so be excited!

Otherwise, just... hang in there, I know it feels like Lost should be just around the corner, but the autumn will fly right by and before you know it it's my birthday! I mean, season 4. What a better present eh? Well depending on what happens, of course! I've been reading lots of HP fanfics so I'm pretty out of it, but had a really cool Jate dream last night with a burning labyrinth and the Whomping Willow... but they both said ily so it was a good dream! Reminded me why I love this ship so much <3

Harry Potter Mania!!!

Ok, I finished the book almost exactly 24 hours ago, and my head is still spinning from it! I listened to the MuggleCast live podcast which Selina, attended, but unfortunately didn't hear her. The reason for no podcast this week, is pretty much obvious, I think. Selina travelled to London for the release of the book, I read it in 6 hours straight, Kristen I know will be emmersed in the world too (I believe she went to a midnight opening and PotterCast) and Alex and Eel have both been AWOL, so we've got all this hype and excuses!

Before all this mania started, we did record a podcast about Harry Potter and really comparing the ships within the fandom, and the shippers themselves, as I'm sure many of you are aware, a lot of heat has been coming from the Jaters and the Skaters recently. I was late getting those files in, so I reckon Selina probably didn't get them before she left for London, thus the delay. I'm still working on the 'Greatest Hits' podcast, as it had a lot of splicing and recutting to do due to the fact I had to split it from the Jate bits.

So basically, we should be getting out a podcast sometime in the upcoming week. I'm gonna try and get in touch with Selina as soon as possible. Haven't heard from her since she went to the release, so hopefully the stress of the final book hasn't caused her to be ill or anything... nah I'm sure she's fine xD. As soon as we've been in touch or when Ifinish this podcast, we should be releasing one, so keep your eyes peeled. Also, we'll probably be doing a Harry Potter debrief podcast, because OMG what a book! xD

A Double Package!!!

Hey guys!

This is Aly and I'm currently editing the 16th or maybe it's the 17th podcast! It's kinda hard to tell because we have one podcast on my laptop, which has exploded*, one which I should really send the files to Selina for, and one which I am currently editing. On top of that we have our second Audio Commentary of Episode 1x07 "The Moth" and also an extra Audio Commentary for all the Buffy fans out there.

* I just found the files for this podcast, so it may be coming sooner than expected :D

This week, we recorded the podcast "Jatest Hits" in which we discuss the best Jate moments of the season, and then some of our other favourites and least favourites. Now, due to technical difficulties and files deleting themselves, we reocrded over 3 days, and thus I now have a joyous 3 and a half ours of podcast to edit. So, we've decided to make up for the lack of podcasts, we're going to release 2 separate podcasts including all of the stuff we discussed over the 3 days, as a lot of it would otherwise have been cut. Therefore, as soon as I'm done editing, you will be getting two podcasts: "Jatest Hits" and "Greatest Hits"

What's to Come

Hey everyone! Props to you for checking our blog, we ARE beginning to get the hang of updating so you know where you've got us! Obviously its been a few months (like, one month, but it's gone by fast-ish! We'll make it!) since Lost and the fandom is starting to scatter slightly - a few of us FateCasters are getting geared up for Harry Potter this month *omg omg omg* and we are losing files and computers and contact like it's no one's job, but we are still getting podcasts out as you've noticed, we have no plans to stop, and we do have a plan (we'll need some dynamite, a black rock and a hatch........ ummm hehe) - we have got two recorded discussions - one on Kate in season 3 and one on the s1 soundtrack - which may or may not have been lost, sadly, then we have a commentary more coming up - we'd like to interchange these with actual shows, but bad luck has so far prevented it, so the 2nd commentary will probably be released as this week's show. Coming up is a Jack discussion (look for another Erica appearance), a Skate in s3 discussion, fun and games, more commentaries, Jacket and Skate debates, and probably some other things I can't think of right now - but if you have any other suggestions please email us them! Our plan will last us the weeks until Lost starts up again, but the more impact you have on the show, the more fresh it will hopefully be! I can't post our email address here for spam reasons, but it starts with fatecast and ends in gmail....... fill in the blanks ;) Thanks in advance, and we hope you're enjoying the podcasts we do get out! Just recorded the second FC commentary which should be out shortly! I am also editing the FC we recorded a few weeks ago, had some messups and general confusions! Aly is having troubles with her computer, which is another reason we've had confusions and delays - let's cross our fingers that she recovers very vital files!

#15 Update!

Just to let people know what's going on - it IS on its way guys! I finished editing last night and was going to upload it today, I went to the library and everything... but aaa sendspace is evil!!! It kept stopping halfway through! I even tried megaupload, but that would take 3 hours for 56 mb! ???

I'm leaving for London tomorrow (SQW00T!!), so I don't know what to do... there is Internet at the hotel, so if it works for me (technology doesn't like me very much) I can have it uploaded by tomorrow night... otherwise I'm afraid you will have to wait until Monday. I'm REALLY sorry guys! :-\ I'm doing everything I can! I'll set it to upload from here, but I doubt it will let me upload 50mb in any less than like, 20 hours... sigh.

Just be assured that we did record, and the podcast will get out eventually!!

Announcing the Birth of "Hurley Ate My Baby!!!"

Yeah Selina, we really should be updating this more, but then again, who's actualy reading it? Anyways, off from the tangent:

Firstly, we LOVED the Finale! Kate didn't die yay! And me and Selina solemly swear we will never worry about her dying on the island ever again! Yeah, so we've recorded the Finale podcast yesterday, and I'm sure Selina and Elle are hard at editing as I type. Hopefully it will be out pretty soon. Fear not, however. If you listened to the last episode, you will know that we are continuing throuigh the hiatus. Next week we're planning to do a Jacket debate with our Jacketeer listener, Emily, and we've also got lots more plans including episode commentaries, and the ressurrection of fanfiction!

Now onto the title, which has probably got everyone pretty confused. As you will hear in the new podcast, if you actually get through the whole thing, Selina and I have formed our very own Lost tribute band. Yeah, sounds stupid considering one of us (hahaha) is in Denmark and one of us (hehehe) is in England, but we worked through that. As no-one will probably check this until after listening to the podcast, I have decided to basically fill in the blanks on here. The band is called 'Hurley Ate My Baby' which is apparently a Buffy tribute, which I don't get, but there we go. Selina and I are currently the only band member, but the Others (ok, this is getting old now) might join us if they aren't too freaked. Our first song has been released on the upcoming podcast, and it is to the tune of 'Stop' by the Spice Girls. So that you don't have to listen through the entire podcast just to hear our voices, here is a link to download the song on its own, should you want to have it on your MP3 player or whatever. Hopefully you will enjoy it as much as we enjoyed recording it, and well, we may record some more if we have time and if people like it... we'll see. Oh, and we can take song requests as long as they're not too hard. Btw I'm typing all this without Selina's permission, so maybe not!
